As 2027 General Elections-related activities hit high gears nationwide, the State Executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State have announced the leadership structure charged with driving the election of Malam Muhammad Nami, the PDP Governorship Candidate in the poll.
Malam Nami is the immediate past Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), formerly Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and favourite to cause an upset in the gubernatorial election by unseating the governor and returning Niger to the PDP fold, which the state belongs to from 1999 until the Muhammadu Buhari effect of 2015 caused a glitch for the party nationwide.
The campaign council announcement was made by the Niger State Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Halidu Aliyu Muhammad (Kauran Bargu).
According to the official appointment, Alhaji Gambo Ladan has been appointed as the Director-General (DG) of the Nami Campaign Organisation while Arc. Suleiman (Maibabur) was appointed as the Campaign Advisory Chairman.
The official appointment letters were presented to the appointees by Hon. Dahiru DanAzumi.
In a statement, the party expressed confidence that the appointees’ wealth of experience, commitment, and proven leadership will bring renewed hope, energy, unity, and strategic direction to the Nami governorship campaign.
